We are thrilled to share another fantastic achievement, this time at our project with Barratt Homes in Wixams.

Following a recent Construction Quality Review, Nova Plasterboard Systems achieved an NHBC Grade 6 for quality. To put this into perspective, a Grade 6 is the highest rating possible and is described by inspectors as “outstanding and consistent.”

Exemplary Workmanship on Site

The NHBC report specifically highlighted several key strengths in our first-fix delivery at Willow Grove, including:

• Precision Fitting: Plasterboard accurately fitted with tightly abutted joints and staggered ceiling board joints.
• Technical Accuracy: Service penetrations neatly cut and fixings installed at exact specified centres (230mm for ceilings and 300mm for wall boards).
• Attention to Detail: Correct fixings used to securely fit boards to studwork and perfectly installed metal beads at external corners.

A Team Effort

This result is a true testament to the passion of our installers who strive to deliver quality every time they complete a plot. It also highlights the dedication of our site manager, Louis Patten, whose persistence in completing rigorous quality control checks for every single plot ensures nothing is left to chance.

We would also like to extend a special mention to Gerard Barnes and his team. Their work ensures that preceding trades provide us with the high-quality surfaces and structures required to perform our work to this award-winning standard.

The inspector specifically noted that our “Quality control documentation was completed and viewed,” validating our internal audit process. By using photographic evidence and plot-by-plot checks, we provide our clients – and NHBC – with absolute confidence in the finished product.
