Nova Plasterboard Systems has achieved another exemplary NHBC Grade 6 rating for plaster and drylining at Willow Grove, Wixams, marking our fourth top Grade 6 score during the month of September alone.
Conducted under the National House Building Council (NHBC) Construction Quality Review standards, a Grade 6 represents the highest possible classification, reserved strictly for work deemed outstanding where much of what is inspected cannot be improved upon.
Precision Workmanship on Plot 216
The review focused specifically on Section 5.7 (Plaster and Dry Lining), confirming superior technical execution and compliance across the board:
- Fixing Geometry: Wall boards were correctly secured at maximum 300mm centres, while fixings at external corners were positioned accurately at 200mm centres.
- Joint Alignment: Ceiling board joints were neatly staggered, with staggered joints also provided above doorways to maintain structural integrity and reduce cracking.
- Board Specification: Specified acoustic and moisture-resistant plasterboards were correctly installed to design, dry, undamaged, and tightly abutted at all joints.
- Accurate Openings: Service penetrations were cut cleanly and with precision throughout the plot.
Four Top Ratings in September
Securing four separate NHBC Grade 6 ratings across multiple developments and phases in a single calendar month reflects our uncompromising approach to internal finishing.
The inspector noted that quality was outstanding and thoroughly checked, validating our standard site procedure of plot-by-plot inspections and photographic documentation before handover.
Congratulations to our site supervision and skilled operatives at Wixams for maintaining exemplary standards on site, and thank you to the principal team at Willow Grove for their continued collaboration.
